Safe Harbor is a locally grown agency providing insurance solutions to customers on Cape Cod. While we have contractual relationships with various insurance companies, we work for our customers. We operate on a personalized basis to help you understand your risks and the insurance options available to you to help you protect your family, your assets and your lifestyle.

COLLEEN ORMSBY

Originally from Worcester, Colleen moved to the Cape right out of high school and began her insurance career at a local insurance agency. She quickly received her Massachusetts Insurance Broker’s License. After 19 years at the agency, Colleen accepted a position at a regional insurance company as their Underwriting Manager, where she spent 8 years as a student of the insurance business. Realizing that she missed helping clients find insurance solutions, Colleen brought her experience to Safe Harbor in 2015 as a licensed insurance broker. In 2018, she and Donna Barr bought the Agency. A graduate of the University of Phoenix, Colleen lives with her family in Harwich Port, where you’re likely find her on the beach or the golf course, or in a really good restaurant - enjoying what life on the Lower Cape has to offer! Colleen is active in the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women and the Brewster Chamber of Commerce and is an enthusiastic volunteer for WE CAN, an organization dedicated to empowering women in transition across Cape Cod

DONNA BARR

Donna earned her Massachusetts Insurance Broker's license in 2002 and worked at several agencies before joining the Safe Harbor team in 2011. In her time here, Donna has excelled in many roles, ranging from sales and customer service to managing the office and running the accounting department. It was a natural progression for Donna to team up with Colleen Ormsby to buy the Agency and assume the roles of Vice President and Treasurer. A Cape Cod native, Donna grew up in Harwich but moved "Off Cape" for a short time. When she and her husband decided to start a family, they bought a home in Harwich so they could raise their kids, Sam and Justin, in the town they love. When she's not working, Donna and her husband enjoy camping with their friends and extended family and watching live music by their favorite locally and nationally recognized acts. She is also an active member of the Cape Cod Chapter of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women.
